FAITH AND PRAYER CAN CHANGE SITUATIONS

Sasha-Praise (8 years old) was due to start playing her 3rd season of Hockey on the 25th April 2020, but due to the on-going pandemic of Covid-19, this was put on hold due to the nation’s lockdown and social distancing.

As the levels moved down and the possibility of hockey playing becoming more of a reality, Sasha-Praise approached her mum and asked if she would be able to play. Unfortunately, because of all the upset of covid-19 Sasha’s parents had decided to stop all winter sports for both her and her siblings (she has 4 brothers and 2 sisters).

But Sasha wasn’t quite satisfied with this answer, so she asked her mum, “do we have the power?” Her mum replied, “we have power in our prayers!”. With that answer Sasha took herself off to her bedroom and prayed. She asked the Lord if he could make a way for her to play hockey this season.

Through her faith God answered her prayers and, on the 25th July 2020 Sasha, played her first game of hockey for the 2020 season.

Sasha’s parents didn’t know about her prayer and asking the Lord to make a way and only found out during a testimony night at church where Sasha testified of how great her God is.

Further to this testimony Sasha’s parents said that on Monday (of the week before her first game) no one was playing winter sport, but by Friday of the same week the girls where back into hockey. They don’t really know why as they were pretty adamant that no one was playing this season. But our God had other appointments to keep.

Praise God for child-like faith!
